In conjunction with the EGP (Engineering General Practitioners) group, this event will be the beginning of monthly discussion and networking focused on the Invercargill design, construction and infrastructure industry. This event aims to encourage growth and co-operation between disciplines and roles including planners, surveyors, architects, and engineers. This will open doorways between industry roles to increase the connections and contacts to use for the correct projects.
The objective is to have equal input and involvement from all to ask questions, discuss the relevant shared challenges and solutions, develop learning and connections to strengthen the local Invercargill, and wider Southland, development, building, and infrastructure industry as we continue to grow.
These monthly meetings will act as casual networking opportunities, held in a local coffee shop to the east of the ICC building on Esk Street, where the topics discussed or presented are proposed to be case studies, personal experiences, or found challenges that the group can add to or provide other insight. This process will keep ideas and designs current, solve common challenges, and avoid mistakes through the experiences of others.
The meeting schedule includes arrival with time to network and grab any food or drink at 10:30am before presentations and discussions start around 10:45am. Planned discussions and forum will be active for up to 30 minutes with other topics open to anyone at all times. This event is expected to be around an hour long.
We encourage emailing or getting in contact here with any topics or interests you may like to discuss or present to the group at a monthly catch-up.
The Special Interest Group for Engineering General Practitioners Southland Branch invite you to come for a coffee, network with your peers, and help grow your industry's community. We are forming a monthly catch up and discussion to encourage positive growth, cooperation, and wider networking to the construction and infrastructure industry locally and would be privileged to have as much involvement from local groups as possible.
