Your expertise helps inform and influence policy, providing a strong voice for members and the engineering profession – and better outcomes for New Zealanders.

Our advocacy covers a range of issues – like infrastructure, resilience, transportation, the building system, professional regulation, STEM education and the skills pipeline. We also advocate on issues that impact engineers or engineering disciplines, and public issues where we can add value.

As your advocate

We collaborate to maximise impact
Your views ensure our ability to address issues is informed, impactful, and representative of shared concerns. We engage with stakeholders like the Engineering Leadership Forum to find common ground and speak with a strong voice.

We are proactive and reactive
Engineering New Zealand engages in proactive and reactive advocacy. We identify matters of national importance and how to get involved. We also respond to consultations and issues of the day.
