Over the course of the last year, a new asphalt plant has started to make asphalt at their site at the end of Bartlett Road, Richmond. This plant has been imported from Brazil and has been set up to supply asphalt to local market. This has provided a bit of competition locally, as previously there has only been one supplier based in Nelson, so a bit of a hike if you had asphalt requirements anywhere in the Tasman area.
After the tour which will take an hour, join us for a refreshment at the Sprig & Fern in the Meadows.
Meet at the Tasman Bay Asphalt plant at 272 Bartlett Road at 5:30pm. Bring your PPE (hi viz jacket & steel cap boots).
