Joern Rueschenschmidt and Rodrigo Mendes from Eurotec will be presenting about the production and use of wood construction screws. They will show how the screws are produced, from the raw wire, over forging, hardening to surface treatment. They will explain the service classes, C-Classes and T-Classes and make a clear separation between the application of partially threaded and fully threaded screws. Wood construction screws may look simple at first glimpse, but to obtain the highest possible quality and the required durability and capacity, the production needs to happen at high standards. But even the best screw will not fulfil its purpose if not applied correctly.
