The Construction Contracts Act is a key piece of legislation for the construction industry. This Act regulates payment and dispute resolution for construction contracts. In September 2016, design and engineering work was included in the ambit of the Act. This means that engineers can get the benefits of the Act’s payment regime and engage with its dispute resolution mechanisms.

  • An understanding of the benefits of using the Act and the risks if you do not follow the processes in the Act.
