Designed to support effective communication and interactions by building an understanding of your style and how to strategically adapt depending on who you are interacting with. This online course also introduces preparation tools for important interactions to increase the likelihood of the interactions being constructive.
This course was developed by Engineering New Zealand to support the development of our members.
Learning outcomes: Completing this module will enable learners to
- Identify their personal behavioural style and this can impact how they are perceived in the workplace and during interactions
- Understand steps to adapt their interaction style to support constructive interactions with other behavioural styles in the work environment
- Use two tools to plan and prepare for constructive interactions that will support effective communication
Audience: This module is aimed at those in the first five years of their career, but provides relevant tools for anyone seeking to further develop their professional skills.
Course duration: This course takes approximately two (2) hours to complete, including working through all modules and completing the self-reflection activities. You do not need to complete the course in a single sitting. Your progress will be saved as you complete each module within the course.
