The New Zealand Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers offers a scholarship which aims to support a student enrolled in the Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering programme at the University of Canterbury, to undertake fundamental research into fire safety and fire science.

The current value of the scholarship is $5000. The purpose is to support a student enrolled in the Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering programme at the University of Canterbury, to undertake fundamental research into fire safety and fire science.
Eligibility
- For full-time enrolment in a Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering at the University of Canterbury
- Past academic achievements, student character and research potential shall all be considered in the decision making process
How to apply
Students may apply through the University of Canterbury website approximately 8 weeks before applications close.
Students will be expected to submit the completed application form along with a CV, evidence of past academic achievements, a character reference, the student's thesis research proposal and evidence of academic and professional experience in research. Applications close 30 October.
