Consulting Engineering Advancement Society (CEAS)
The Consulting Engineering Advancement Society is run by consulting engineers and understands the risks faced by engineers. It provides services and policies matched to the needs of the engineering profession. Both sole practitioners and large firms can take out Professional Indemnity, Statutory Liability and General (Public) Liability Covers.
CEAS membership also provides comprehensive risk management advice for local and overseas projects. It's available to Engineering New Zealand members and CPEng registered engineers.
Engineers’ Combined Liability Scheme
The Engineers’ Combined Liability Scheme is an exclusive insurance package designed for Engineering New Zealand members by Abbott Insurance Brokers, in partnership with national and international insurers and underwriters. Abbott Insurance Brokers provides the insurance expertise and global industry connections to deliver a tailored mix of policy wordings and cover options. These can be designed to meet the individual risk profiles of engineers working across civil, structural, mechanical and geotechnical specialisations.
Abbott offers a full risk analysis and advice service, insurance placement, in-house claims management and advocacy, plus a premium funding facility. Abbott also donates a percentage of the total annual brokerage fee earned from the Engineers’ Combined Liability Scheme to the Engineering New Zealand Foundation.
