The New Zealand Hydropower Group (NZHG) is a forum for hydropower professionals working in this multidisciplinary field of engineering. They aim to support professionals to share experience and knowledge across New Zealand and internationally, as well as acting as a voice for the local hydropower sector.
What the group does
NZHG seeks to provide a platform for hydropower professionals to connect, learn and raise the profile of the sector. They work closely with the New Zealand Society on Large Dams (NZSOLD), other technical groups and international hydropower associations.
Their core activities include:
- regular communication on latest news
- research and projects
- events such as technical presentations, site visits and networking opportunities
- a biannual conference and technical exhibition
