We recognise many engineering credentials through our agreements with overseas engineering organisations.
Recognised credentials can include:
- Registration with a signatory to the Washington, Sydney or Dublin Accord – Professional engineers, Engineering technologists, Engineering technicians
- International registration with a signatory to the Washington, Sydney or Dublin Accord – IntPE, IntET, IntETn
- Assessments with Engineering New Zealand, Engineers Australia or NCEES (USA)

Accord recognition
We may recognise your engineering credential with a signatory to the Washington, Sydney or Dublin Accord as demonstrating engineering knowledge that is equivalent to an Accord-accredited qualification.

Mutual recognition for direct entry into Chartered Membership
If you have a registration with a signatory to the Washington, Sydney or Dublin Accord, you may be eligible for direct entry into Chartered Membership. We’ll verify your registration as part of your application to join as a Chartered Member.
Registrations with organisations that hold provisional Accord signatory status aren’t recognised.
