Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau is exploring the formation of the Senior Engineers Interest Group for engineers approaching retirement or moving beyond full-time work. The group will support this shift and facilitate networking with peers in the same stage of their career.
If you're a professional engineer approaching retirement or beyond the stage of full-time work and want to stay connected with peers in a similar stage of career transition, we'd like to hear from you.
The proposed Senior Engineers Interest Group is intended to support you in your career shift by creating networking opportunities, keep you engaged with the likes of Branches and other Groups and pass on the extensive knowledge you've accumulated throughout your career for the benefit of engineers to come. It's a great way to ensure that your knowledge forms part of your career legacy.
What this group may offer:
- A platform to collaborate and share your expertise.
- Opportunities to continue to contribute to the profession as your approach retirement.
- A flexible, online focus to enable participation from anywhere.
- Most members would qualify for the 70% subscription rebate.
The formation of the Senior Engineers Interest Group is dependent on the level of interest expressed by members. If the group sounds like a good fit for you, submit a no-commitment expression of interest. Contact Lindsay Robertson for more information.
