Engineering New Zealand is the Registration Authority for Chartered Professional Engineers and aims to strengthen the CPEng system to give confidence the system is fit-for-purpose and protects the public.
To do this, the CPEng Rules need to be updated.
The Rule changes proposed build on the 2020 consultation – and we need your input to ensure the proposals are workable and achieve their aims.
We want to:
- Introduce new classes of registration
- Change the continued assessment process to accommodate new registration classes
- Strengthen the complaints and disciplinary system.
The consultation is now open and closes on Friday 29 November.
