Yesterday the Government put out a call for information on large infrastructure projects that are ‘shovel-ready’. This means infrastructure projects/programmes that are ready for construction.
Right now the Government is looking for large projects, valued over $10 million.
Do you know of any large, shovel-ready projects? If so, supply information on these projects to the Government by Tuesday 14 April 2020.
Projects will be assessed by the newly established Infrastructure Industry Reference Group. The Industry Reference Group has been asked to prepare a list of infrastructure projects/programmes ready for construction for the Government to consider. These be deployed as part of a stimulatory package to support both the construction industry and the wider economy, in the wake of the Covid-19 public health crisis.
