On Friday 12 November we hosted a webinar to launch Engineering Climate Action, Te Ao Rangahau | Engineering New Zealand's new climate change programme.
Human-induced climate change is a reality – we must unite and act with urgency. And engineering forms a pivotal part of New Zealand's response to climate change.
Engineering Climate Action supports engineering professionals to take positive action on climate change mitigation, transition, and adaptation. Together, we can innovate, share best practices, and challenge each other towards a net-zero economy that supports a healthier, sustainable Aotearoa.
To mark the programme’s launch we asked, 'What does engineering a healthier, sustainable Aotearoa mean to you?' to a panel of leading engineers at different ages and stages of their careers. We had a great turnout and feedback from the webinar with over 300 engineering professionals joining us online.
