New Zealand's Structural Engineering Society provides a technical home for structural engineers with strong international linkages. Structural engineering is the art of economically designing buildings, bridges and other structures to support their contents and protect them from extreme environmental events such as wind, snow, fire or earthquake
What they do
The society aims to:
- Promote the science, art and practice of structural engineering.
- Ensure the advancement and dissemination of knowledge relating to structural engineering.
- Provide a forum for structural engineering practitioners to communicate among themselves and to the public.
